Based in Erie, Pennsylvania, United Oil Manufacturing operated a small number of stations. This map was issued in 1966.
Universal Oil, of Wichita, Kansas dated back at least to the 1930s. Dezol was their lubricant brand name. This 1947 Rand McNally generic map features the Dezol name, describing its "extra oiliness". Later maps from this firm emphasized the Universal brand.
This is a 1962 map issued by Universal Oil, an independent marketer based in Wichita, Kansas. Universal operated until the early Seventies.
This 1946 issue by the Utah Oil Refining Company shows the rebranding then under way, converting the old Vico/Pep 88 signs to the torch and oval logo used by Standard Oil Company of Indiana and its subsidiaries.
