This Canadian map is a somewhat unusual map in that it consists of a provincially-issued official map overprinted with the North Star name and logo. This North Star company marketed in the western plains provinces of Canada and was unrelated to the United States company marketing in the U. S. upper midwest using the same name.
This is another, more conventional, map issued by Canada's North Star in 1961. Shortly after this map was issued, North Star was taken over by Shell and all its stations rebranded.
