This map was issued by Jet's British operations in 1970. Borrowing the common concept of sectional maps bound into a booklet, this novel variant consists of sectional and city maps printed on a batch of small cards and distributed in a small vinyl pouch. Pictured is one of the map cards and the "title page" card, the back of which includes an index listing the number of the card on which each territory is to be found.
The Jet name originated in Yorkshire, England in the early Fifties and was soon acquired by U. S.-based Continental Oil Company (Conoco). With Conoco seeking markets for its Libyan oil, it expanded its marketing operations into a number of European countries (mostly in northern and central Europe) using the Jet brand. This Scandinavian Jet map was issued in 1999; note the Conoco logo at bottom.
Conoco's Jet subsidiary is a player in the recently-opened Polish petroleum marketing scene. This map was issued in 1998.
